Geneva School of Boerne senior Ella Babic won first place in a national essay contest sponsored by the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW). As the top leader at MOWW’s Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) at Texas Wesleyan University last summer, Ella competed against all of the top leaders in the multiple YLCs around the country.
The topic of her essay was, “Should voter laws be established by the Federal Government or individual states as they are currently?” The MOWW Hill Country Chapter Adjutant, RDML Stephanie Keck, USN (retired), presented the award to Ella at a student assembly at Geneva recently.
