Senior Spotlight

What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
One of the most influential books I have read is Paradise Lost by John Milton. Overall, it is a great book, but mostly it allows one to understand references made in other required books. (It’s kind of like The Princess Bride of the 18th and 19th centuries!)

What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
It was pretty funny when Will Muck “nailed” his thesis to Dr. Rosheger’s door.

What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
I will definitely miss my teachers a lot.

Who influenced you most while at Geneva? How?
Probably my father, Mr. Troyer. He drove me to and from school, helped me study, gave me lots of extra background information for whatever I was studying in History and Bible, and he was even my Sunday School teacher for several years.

What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
Being a Geneva student means performing with excellence in a wide range of difficult activities.

How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
You should find something that you love, whether that is Art, Reading, PE, Math, or even just lunch, and look forward to that thing; it makes the rest so much easier. Also, make lots of friends in all the grades.

What about Geneva do you hope never changes?
I hope we never get rid of AIM buddies.
