What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis was a pretty impactful book. It helped me understand more about core beliefs of Christianity. Also, his background as an atheist-turned-Christian gives his arguments a unique perspective.

What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
My funniest moment at Geneva was during the Dallas basketball tournament my team attended. Two of the rooms had bed bugs, and everyone started freaking out which was pretty funny.

What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
I will miss the community at Geneva the most. It is really nice walking onto the boardwalk and being able to talk to anyone. I love how we are all different but can still have good discussions.

Who influenced you most while at Geneva? How?
Everyone in the basketball program has influenced me because they’ve taught me how to work hard. The teacher that has influenced me the most is Mr. Arizpe because he’s lived so much life,  I was able to learn so much more from him and have deep conversations with him that have really impacted me.

What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
It means being able to read and discuss hard topics and being able to communicate with people who might disagree with you.

How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
How Geneva teaches you to argue and publicly speak will help a lot after high school. What you give is what you get, and you’ll get a lot out of Geneva if you persevere through it.

What about Geneva do you hope never changes?
I hope that we are able to still come together as a whole school. Kindergarten to 12th grade I hope can come together and be a community.
