Senior Spotlight

What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
The Percy Jackson series books have been the most influential books I have read. They have it taught me most of what I know about Greek mythology, and it was good to see the contrast between how manmade gods act rather than how we know our God acts.

What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
One of my favorite memories was when we got to role play the Roman senate in Mr. Harrild’s Humanities class freshman year.

What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
The teachers, most of whom I am great friends with and will heavily miss

Who influenced you most while at Geneva? How?
Well I have to pick two because they influenced me equally. Mr. Arizpe guided me through my academics and was a real mentor throughout the years and taught me many life lessons and explained through many stories how a responsible Christian should act and how not to make the mistakes he did. And also Coach Bryant because he has helped shape me into a strong rock through different physical and mental obstacles and has taught me to be mentally tough and rigid but also kind and caring.

What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
It means to serve God in all aspects of my life and to honor him the the best I can through my school academics and attitude

How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
You may not like it, but the lessons you learn here will help you succeed far beyond a college or career, because they will help you serve and worship God through those things and have a strong biblical foundation to stand on when you go out into the world

What about Geneva do you hope never changes?
I hope the friendliness of the teachers never goes away.
