Geneva School of Boerne sophomore Adelina Vela participated in the National Hispanic Institute San Antonio’s (NHISA) Texas Great Debate Tournament at Austin College in Sherman, Texas last summer.
“Last year we had 25 schools represented from the San Antonio area, and Adelina represented [Geneva] and Boerne very well. She excelled in her presentations, leadership, competition and her drive towards academic excellence,” NHISA president Dr. Hector F. Gonzalez said.
