Geneva School of Boerne Rhetoric School band students competed April 9-10 in the TAPPS 4A State Band Competition in Waco and finished as Runner Up out of 12 other programs. The Rhetoric Concert Band earned the Sweepstakes Award, meaning they received top ratings of all ones from all judges on stage and in sightreading. The Rhetoric Jazz Combo earned a Superior rating, meaning they received the top rating from all 3 judges, and the Rhetoric Percussion Ensemble also earned a Superior rating from all judges.
