What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
Tim Tebow’s book Shaken is the most influential book I have read. It takes his perspective in life when he was failing and how he was able to stay in touch with God through all of it.
What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
My favorite Geneva moment was going to play at the football game in Brownsville my sophomore year. It was a fun bus ride and an even more fun game.
What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
When I leave Geneva, I will miss the culture and having a personal relationship with the teachers the most.
Who influenced you most while at Geneva? How?
Coach Virnau influenced me the most at Geneva. He has taught me how to take a different perspective on “pain” in an uncomfortable situation and it has helped me progress physically, mentally and spiritually.
What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
Being a Geneva student means working as hard as you can in the classroom to do well but also to actively live out a Christian lifestyle in the process.
How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
Look at all the fun opportunities that you have at Geneva and don’t take them for granted. For me, I look back at every year that I was at Geneva and try to pick one thing I specifically remember about that year that I had fun doing. Don’t live in the future, live in the now… it will all be over before you know it.
What about Geneva do you hope never changes?
I hope the fact that I can talk to any teacher about something and they will be personable with me never changes at Geneva.
