What is the most influential book you have read besides the Bible? Why?
It Takes What It Takes by Trevor Moawad. It helped me to a adopt a winner’s mindset in everything I do, whether sports or academics.
What is your favorite or funniest moment at Geneva?
The football game vs. Woodlands Christian my junior year. It was the most exciting game I’ve ever been a part of.
What will you miss most when you leave Geneva?
I’ll miss my peers who I’ve grown up with over the years.
Who has influenced you most while at Geneva, How?
Mr. Shelton. He showed me what it means to be a stern and effective leader while also being fun and caring
What does being a Geneva student mean to you?
It means being able and willing to always choose the harder right over the easier wrong. It means being able to think logically and thoughtfully about one’s viewpoint without accepting it. There is a sense of pride in the hard work we have put in throughout our Geneva career.
How would you encourage a Geneva kindergartner to persevere in school?
I would tell them that the values and work ethic this school teaches you will be very helpful later in life.
What about Geneva do you hope never changes?
I hope that the student body never loses its sense of pride in the great school they are a part of.
