As part of the application process, all students are required to be assessed. Assessments vary based on the grade level.
Grades KP-4
Students applying to grades KP-4 in Round 1 will be scheduled for on-site grade level assessments on January 24, 2026. The Admissions Office will contact the applicant family to schedule a specific assessment time once the application is complete.
In Rounds 2 and 3, the Admissions Office will contact the applicant family to schedule an on-site assessment once the application is complete.
Grades 5 and above
Students applying for fifth grade and above must take the Independent School Entrance Examination. The exam can be taken at either Geneva, Prometrics, online, or at another school that hosts the exam. Details about the ISEE (i.e. fee, sample questions, exam site locations, etc.) can be found here. Our school’s code is 447583. This code is needed for the registration form. The ISEE results must be provided to Geneva before an application is considered complete and ready for review. To help build confidence that students will onboard well, we generally look for stanines of 4 and above when reviewing ISEE scores. These scores are considered as one part of the student’s complete profile.
Geneva is a “closed” exam site, meaning only students applying to Geneva are allowed to take the exam at our school. If you wish to have your student take the exam at Geneva, you will need to contact the Admissions Office to get a date specific Invitation Code (each code is unique to the date). Please register online a minimum of three weeks before the scheduled exam date or a late fee will apply. Depending on the number of students pre-registered, there may be availability for the student to request a Walk In code as the exam day approaches. Requests can be made through the Admissions Office.
